Adventuras de Pescando

The kids have been spending lots of time fishing.  Well, they at least can catch sardinas.  They use some flour and water to make a dough which thy put on a tiny hook and drop into the water.  When a sardina bites, they fling it out into a bucket.  Then the rest of the 'fishing' consists of manually feeding the sardinas back to the big fish, who somehow never make it onto the line.  But they found a huge snail!

They went out on canoes to try fishing in the deep water.  Nothing like taking a canoe out for fishing in December!! Still no luck for fish, however the kids told stories of Pez Diablo- the Devil Fish- that lives in the deep water.  And B trekked into the jungle for medicinal bark.

Sunset on the river is quite stunning.  Wish you all were here.
