Saturday we unhitched the houseboat and took it down the river for a barbeque. Jose's family came along and taught us how to play dominoes. We found a tiny island to stop at and lit up the barbeque pit! Carmen made real Belizean bbq for us and platanos with cream! Delish!
We saw green herons, comorants, vultures, anhingas, and wood storks. No monkeys today.
The river and jungle is beautiful! No development on either side for miles! Silent and lovely.
